بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم
Assalamu Alaykum wa RahmatuAllahi wa Barakatuh.
Something I love and really find enjoyable has to be reading. I'm trying my best not to read 100 books at the same time and overmix them, that's too confusing and makes me forget what I was reading. You recognize that feeling, right? I most of the time like my things organized, so I've decided to take notes of everything - Especially the Qur'an. No matter how many times you read the Qur'an, you'll always end up finding something new - Subhan Allah, beautiful isn't it? Then what's better than taking notes.
I started to make my own personal Qur'an memorisation notebook to cross-check my own progess and to be better to study, understand and memorize the Qur'an In Sha Allah. There's so many techniques, you just have to find out what's best for you.
Therefore, I want to share my simple technique with you and hopefully it helps and motivates you to do the same as much as it motivates me. This is such an productive ressource and I'm so happy that I made it. Alhamduli Allah. It get's so much easier to study each surah.
Tools you need for the memorisation checklist:
A couple of notebooks (mine has colored tabs, which makes a difference in organizing ayat etc.)
A pen
A ruler
Stickers in different colors (I used dots)
I've used the sides of the blank side in the notebook to make the checklist. Start by marking some tables with your ruler for the Surat, the numbers and small colons for the 'Studies, Memorised and Tafsir Translation'.
And when you're done with that, you can start filling the checklist and you're notebook. Pretty simple, huh? =) I actually just took a break from writing in my notebook (to let you guys know about this checklist) and In Sha Allah I can fill out my checklist later on - and you can difinitely do the same. Very enjoyable and organized Ma Sha Allah :) Btw, I recommend you to start with you're notebook before you start filling you're checklist. Write down everything you have studied, translated and knows etc. about a specific surah and then fill out you're checklist, but set a seperate time for each thing In Sha Allah. You're notebook has to be filled up with ilm too ♥
The pink dots is for my 'studied surah', the green ones is for 'Memorized' and the orange ones is for my 'Tafsir Translation'.
I have a long way to go and i'm looking forward to it, and In Sha Allah we can reach our goals to memorize the whole Qur'an.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine the hasanaat you get for only reciting 3 letters. Subhan Allah - Imagine the reward for Surat Al Baqarah. How can this not motivate us to become better? Start today before going to sleep and after Salatul Fajr In Sha Allah. Be consistent. Read every single day and get you're studies checked by a teacher, of course a qualified one In Sha Allah. Prepare yourself for Ramadan and standing in front of Allah Subhana wa T'Ala. Let us attach our hearts to the Qur'an, the memorisations, translations, tajweed etc. and don't give up. Rememeber, practicing is our greatest tool. =)
And until next time In Sha Allah, I will try and share my organizing tools and techniques with all of you so it maybe might become easier and more helpful to practise you're Deen daily, at least more organized and just use you're creativity =) . I will post some examples when I have some time In Sha Allah.
I will make Duaa that this checklist helps you In Sha Allah - I need you're Duaas too, let us please remember each other in our Salah and have a clean heart.
Take care In Sha Allah ♥
Wa'Salam.
